God, faith and hope. The LifeSavingAdvice™ Soul component provides spiritual support to people in need at times of trauma and despair.
After reviewing transcripts from 9-1-1 calls made during Sept. 11th, Katrina, Soga Mine, Columbine, Virginia Tech, Madrid, London and other emergencies and disasters, a common theme emerged that we felt was necessary to address for those involved in critical life threatening situations. The consistent theme was God, faith and hope. By including this component in our offering, some have said we put faith in first aid for the first time . . . but truth be known, faith has always been present when it comes to challenging situations. We simply amplify the topic and provide quick access to spiritual comfort.
In support of this, several municipalities around the world are now dispatching Chaplains alongside first responders (EMT, Search and Rescue, Fire and Police) to offer faith-based assistance and support.
LSA's Soul component provides four opportunities to receive strong words of faith, as expressed by Pastor Miles McPherson of The Rock Church in San Diego, CA.
